My name is Stacey. My husband and I have two children of our own and have taken on the resposibility to foster parent our 4 nieces and nephews as they are now wards of the state as of October 28th. The children are girl (12), boy (7), boy (5), and girl (3). My children are girl (8) and boy (10 months) - we are happy that we are able to take our nieces and nephews in (especially since the holidays are coming up) - we wouldn't want them to live with others during the holidays, but are nervous that we may not be able to afford to give them the Christmas that they deserve. Santa if there is anything that you can do to help - it would be much apprciated. Thanks for everything!

My name is Stacy and I have five children, 15,14,11,8 and 4. They are great kids and as a family we've been through so rough times. My ex-husband of eight years chose to abuse us physically and mentally and I had to seek help through the Crimes Victim Foundation in Washngton,DC. My eight year son is very unhappy about life and he needs a mentor he loves computers he loves loggin on www.cartoonnetwork.com and he plays when he can. My oldest is a great student at Dunbar SEnior High. No problems with the law and no bad behavior but I can't reward him for his goodness like I want. My girls are precious to me too and all they want for Christmas is girl stuff like Dora (my four year old) my 14 and 11 year old girls love dresses and pretty things. I would like to bless to go back to school and obtain my bachelors degree in social work and prayfully we can live in a house one day that I can afford on my own salary :)

My son and I both draw supplimental security income which is less than 900 per month. I have 3 kids, 17, 15, and 12. My bills are way behind, I used my gas cook stove to heat our home last winter, no heat or air, my driveway is washing away, my walls are buckling from the roof leaking, I have only the front part of my underpinning down, and my pipes are not tied into my septic so water is gushing underneath my home. I know I wont be able to come up with the kids anything for Christmas. Can someone please help me.

well i am from africa and a missionary in india. i am doing my missionary work among the unreach people of india and more importantly to plant a church for them. as at now we have seventy converts and we are using a rented community hall for our service. we therefore need the help of children of God for financial assistant to help us have our own landed properties, register with the government and procure music instruments for the glory of God. we also need bibles to give to the new converts. so if God lays it in ur heart u can come to our aids. God bless u as u r doing so. fell free to tell us ur prayer request and jesus will pray for u and u will see the result. thanks

Dear Santa, My children and I need your help. I am a disabled Mom of 5 year old twin boys. I know it is late to write you for help, but I am desperate! My little boys will turn 6 on Tuesday the 21st of Dec. We just recieved a 30 day eviction notice. My husband left us on Dec. 3rd with our Social Security money. I couldn't pay our bill. I got help for food at food pantry and a extntion on our power bill. But I am afraid of losing our apartment. I have a few gifts for my boys from our church. But no help for rent or bills. One of my twins is Autistic and my other twin has developmental disabilities regarding his muscle tone and speech. His Christmas wish is to have his autistic brother talk and say words like he does. He is a very sweet boy, the both are my blessings. I never did any thing like this on computer, ask for help. So here goes Santa. God Bless you all, Happy Holidays. Sincerely, Maggie

I am writing because christmas is 10 days away and I've been hoping to have money for christmas for my 3 children (16, 16, 11); but the way it has turned out, my children won't have a christmas this year. I don't even have money to buy christmas dinner and that is very depressing, especially during the holidays. Just wanted this christmas to be special but as it turns out it won't be. Thanks for reading and you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! God Bless you all

My name is Shayan Jackson and we need help!! I have 3 sons and 2 daughters who have had an aweful year, and its only getting worse. I am a stay at home mom (not by choice) and my husband was self-employed. He was ill for quite a while but still continued to work. Unfortunately, he can't anymore. I have been unable to find employment and due to my childrens health issues, it is difficult to find childcare for them so that I may continue to search for work. Thanks to my 2 olderst children, my daughter Rozie (16) and my son Damien (15) we have been able to stay on top of the monthly bills (barely). My 3 younger children, Brittany (13), Jovon (12), and Manny (10) are very understanding of our situation, although none too happy about it, and we all try to make the best of things. These 5 children are blessings from God and I couldn't ask for better. My problem is that due to our financial situation, we have absolutely no money left at all for Christmas. These kids have gone without for most of the year, and it is my one wish for this Christmas that they wake up Christmas morning and know that God has answered their prayers. They have done without so much this year. They deserve to have a great Christmas. If anyone out there can offer any assistance or advice on where I can obtain some assistance this holiday season, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and from my family to yours, God Bless You and Merry Christmas. Shayan Jackson 607 Abeel Street Kingston, New York 12401

Hi. Thank you for letting me join this group. We are really having trouble right now with making ends meet. I am a stay at home mom, my husband is self employed as a drain cleaner and there has been hardly any work since June, and now it has caught up to us. We have used all our savings and credit cards to pay bills and now we are two months behind on everything, including our mortgage. We have five children, a 13 y/o daughter, 5 y/o son and triplets who are 18 months now, two boys and a girl. There is absolutely no way that we can do anything for Christmas this year, not with owing so much money and worrying if we will even have electricity or heat week to week. IF anyone could help us out for Christmas it would be huge HUGE relief. The kids info is: 13 year old girl - size 14/16 juniors or small womens for shirts; size 1, 2 or 3 for pants; really needs socks for size 8.5 foot 5 year old boy - wear size 6, needs socks desperately Triplets, two boys and a girl, boys are in size 3T and girl is in a size 2T/24 months. THank you. Happy Holidays Jennifer Tower

I am single, work and adore all my children. My ex-husband decided that a life a crime is better than family, so I provide for my family through hard work and determination. I am need of some help this Christmas, this year has been a bit harder than others with medical, moving and transportation expenses. I am hoping that some kind heart will reach out and this Christmas and assist me in providing a tree, food and a few gifts. Anything and everything will be appreciated, my children realize that mom is doing her best to provide the best for them. Thank you in advance for reading my letter and may God Bless you today and always.

I HAVE A FAMILY OF SEVEN AND FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GIVE MY FAMILY WHAT THEY WANT, BUT I WAS ABLE TO GIVE AT LEAST ONE GIFT. BUT THIS YEAR MY FAMILY WAS FACE WITH A TRAMA AND WE ARE LEFT WITH NO MONEY TO EVEN LIVE WITH. FOR THE FIRST MONTH I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS THE END. I KNOW WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH TIME IS NOT GOING TO BE ON OUR SIDE. MY FAMILY WAS ASSAULTED BY SIX PEOPLE AT FOOTBALL PRACTICE, MY HUSBAND WAS ATTACKED BY 3 MALES AND SUFFERS THREE BREAKS IN HIS ANKLE AND CAN NO LONGER WORK, SO HE HAS BEEN LAID OFF, MY SON WAS HIT IN THE FACE BY A GROWN MAN AND IS SCARED TO SLEEP AT NIGHT, I WAS ATTACKED BY THREE FEMALES AND I AM JUST REALLY ON EDGE(SCARED). MY HUSBAND WAS THE BREAD WINNER IN OUR FAMILY. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR WORK, LAWYERS, SOME WHERE FOR US TO LIVE, YOU NAME IT, BUT IT'S HARD TO BE IN SIX PLACE AT ONCE.. SO I NEED YOUR HELP TO PUT A SMILE BACK IN MY FAMILY LIFE. THANK YOU!!!!!!

I have always joined in helping on Christmas. This year my family is about to lose their electricity and just basic needs. I have two children ages 14 and my baby will be a year old in January. We will not even be able to have a tree this year. My family is falling apart. How can we have Christmas this year. I have never been poor before. But I know how bad it feels now. I do not want my children to suffer through the holidays.

thanks for taking time to read this letter after having the courage to leave my abusive 10 year realitonship i am often afraid of the road ahead i have no clue as to how many twists and hills im headed for, but as a single mother of 3 the most important thing in the world to me is the example i set for my kids... i came to relize staying in an abusive realitonship simply shows my daughter its ok to be abusised and teaching my sons its ok to abuse....THATS NOT THE WAY LIFE SHOULD BE... i didnt think it would be so tough doing the right thing, but its not easy to act like everythings ok when you know deep down things are getting worse. thank god i have my mom that moved me and my 3 kids in her tiny onebedroom apt..but with the holidays coming up i feel like i failed my kids... im asking please if anyone knows of any organization or church that might be able to help with food or dinners for the holidays, and maybe a coulpe toys. That would be so help ful to me... I promise their going to the 3 best kids in the world.. Thanks again for your time,, and god bless you anastacia

Shortly after her birth it was apparent to me that there was a serious problem with her development. Over the last few years she has seen various doctors and had numerous tests, which has not given us any indication as to why she has got severe learning difficulties. She currently attends A Special School, which caters for children with severe learning disabilities. At the present time Megan has limited speech and her understanding of language is extremely delayed. Megan behaviour most of the time is challenging, she is extremely clumsy due to poor co-ordination. Megan wear’s nappies 24 hours a day. We have had conflicting information from the medical profession, it as gone from an abnormal brain scan to a When we take Megan out her needs a specially adapted buggy because of her behaviour and lack of awareness of danger. Over the last few years I have been unable to get a true diagnosis normal brain scan in 8 months. We have also had in the early days a Diagnosis of mild delay then moderates and finally severely delayed. To enable us to take Megan abroad for this treatment we have had to set-up the Hope for Megan Appeal. We have been going for a couple year's now, and this will be Megan's second visit to the Human Dolphin Therapy Centre... It would be greatly it is for this reason I am writing to ask whether or not it would be possible for you to donate anything to wards the megan appeal Auctions .it would be greatly appreciated and a great honour. . Hi, I am a 27 year old mother of three, I have batteled with a loved ones addiction that is serious and costly. I have raised three children on $447 a month, It is hard but I manage to get nice things from second hand shops and because I am a regular I get slight deals, I have been able to get new things at a real good price and one could never tell that i live on such a little income, even some used things for children could also be an option, chances if you donate to the Salvation army the low income familys will be paying a unreal price since The Salvation Armys real mission is to help drug addicts and single moms like me end up putting that few dollars in the mouths of parents that neglect there own children just to be back in the Salvation army so check out the charity centers you donate to a good donation center is THE Volenteers of America, they take their money they raise by selling donations and help children or single parents that are struggling and not spend it on costly programs like the Syracuse Salvation Army wich a used out fit from wal- mart that was $7 new and sell it for $5- so always be sure to check out the charity centers first and all will give you a tax form from your donation. It seems to me that everyone lately has become stingy and selfish. It pains me that I can't place one present under my tree, but luckly my oldest would rather have food and shelter and a warm coat. And I guess that I must be thankful that they will recieve a few presents from my family. And Why, Just why is Christmas Shopping and presents so over-rated and it's a wonder we who are struggling for a little happyness for our children are hurting, only to see the pure joy on our childrens faces.god bless

how could one get help for the holidays? I have contacted many many local charitys ,salvation army "but its to late they said to sighn up ,churches said they help only through the salvation army ,and theres no where to turn to the bills are back and might be shut off im useing a friends computer, and the children will just cry on christmas day .i am off work right now because i became teribly ill myself ,and i must of failed badly soem where cause i promised i wouldt let it happen to the children like it did to me .I have helped many many family's in the past 10 years with ther holidays,i have put on a benifit for a family that lost ther house in a house fire.the children i have been raising for the past 10 years are my neices,I tryed to make a diffrance in this world,by helping others like pay it forward, one of my neices that is 17 shes termilaly ill,and allways relys on me to get her something to unwrap for christmas.but i cant help them any of them.i cant even help my own family "that live with "me"and the children are all depresed now as it is because i know they dont expect anything..I just pray to god for the strenghth for these children to make it through this .i dont know where elts to turn .maybe ,just maybe if you bye chance have an extra christmas card laying around maybe you would not mind adding us to your mailing list at least they could get cards.I'll just keep praying for our MIRICAL.. .TLC.po.box166,Brooktondale,NY,14817

I am writing this in behalf of my 3 children. I have a 11 yr old boy and 2 girls ages 6 and 8. They have had a very rough last few months. I left their abusive father a few months ago and since then have also been in a car accident which caused me to have two surgeries (I am right now in a wheelchair). so I have not been able to return to work. These kids are everything to me. They are my life, my best friends and they deserve so much more than I can give to them right now. I want so much for these kids to have a wonderful Christmas this year. They have been through so much and right now I do not know what I can do for them for Christmas due to me being disabled and not working. I have never been in this situation before and I just want them to have something special this year. My kids are very unselfish and have been so strong and brave through all of this and we still have more battles ahead in the next few months. These kids make me proud to be their mother and I love them. They are my reason for being here. I am hoping someone may be able to adopt my family for Christmas my email is meandyogibear@yahoo.com

We are a small family of three, myself, my husband and our little angel baby. She was dianosed with a congenital heart defect and had to have heart surgery when she was just 3 months old. Because we both missed so much work being with her at the hospital, and I just had her in January, we barely have the money to pay bills. It is so hard on us, in the past we were able to be the ones that donated and now we have to ask for help. We have missed a total of 2 1/2 months of work in this last year because of my maternity leave and her heart surgery. That's a lot of income to be without. I would love if someone would be willing to get us in touch with someplace that would help us make a nice first Christmas for little Hailey. She is in need of clothes and toys for a year old baby. Any info you can send me would be wonderful. Thank you and may the good Lord bless you for helping!

I know of a family that is in great need this year and could really use any help they could get. I was wondering if they could be nominated for christmas adopt a family and. The mother just recently left her abusive husband and was then in a car accident that has left her unable to walk or work. The kids are a boy age 11 and 2 girls ages 6 and 8 .Anything at this point would be much appreciated. They are in need of food and basic living items and clothing ect for the children. . . she has no phone but my phone number is 540-397-8916 if you need to reach me. She is in need of any help she could get. . the kids need warm clothing and blankets and coats ect. She lost everything when she left her husband. He beat her and the children. they are under a protective order for the time being. they go to court in November for the domestic violence, him breaking the protective order and for custody. Her childrens sizes are as follows. ryan her son is 11 he wears size 16 in boys pants or size 29/30 in mens size 9 1/2 in mens shoes and medium-large mens shirts. her girls rajah is 8 and kiki is 6. they wear size 1 - and 1 1/2 in childrens shoes and size 7 and some 8 in childrens girls sizes . kiki can still wear size 6 also. yan would need a size medium mens jacket or large even he could wear. julie she wears size 15-16 in womans pants and large to xtra large in shirts and size 9 in shoes. she would need a large to xtra large coat. they all need socks, shoes , underwear ect . like I said anything would be appreciated. clothing- food -food cards- - basic living items they are in need of so anything would be so appreciated. they truly have nothing. god bless and my personal contact email is pennydog1719@yahoo.com

I am writing on behalf of my daughter and her 4 sons because I feel she should have some goodness in her life for a change. She is a very carring person who helps everyone but this year she is having such a hard time. During this past year she has been very ill, she can't eat or drink anything without become sick, she has lost over 100 pounds this year from being ill and the doctors don't seem to know what the cause is, she has been through many tests and needs many more.......I am praying that God will be able to bless them for the holiday. So as you can see My Christmas Wish is that she could be blessed just this once as she has helped and blessed so many others. Even if you could visit her tupperware website and buy something little it would give her some money to get Christmas gifts for her children. www.my.tupperware.com/lttlangels4 Thank You & God Bless

I need funds to help pay funeral costs and keep wis widow from losing her house, etc. Please give back to someone that humbly served his community almost all his life.

My mission is to help make the dreams of a little boy come true with what might be the final time he and his mom have with their Dad/ Husband. Andrew's father has contracted a disabling disease that attacks the white brain matter. Until proven that it can be fatal/ permanent medical bills and regular bills are mounting. My mission is for this 2 year old little boy to have a nice Christmas, inspite of his father's sickness and for their family to have some financial relief. It has been very trying for this family. This disease is almost like the onset of Alzheimer's and destroys brain tissue. I hope someone out there can help....

My wish is that I can provide a good Christmas for my daughter who is 6. While her dad will probably send her a few presents I will not be able to afford one or two, if any at all. In January I will be having a son, so hopefully after that I can get out and exhuast myself at finding a job. Where is his dad? Your guess is as good as mine. I have been a single mom for 3 1/2 years and it seems like there is no end to the continual stream of No Hope. If anyone knows of anywhere that can help please let me know. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Good afternoon, I came across this site by luck I believe. I am a single mom with three children and I am very sick. I have been ill for some time now and I have a multitude of problems that prevent me from doing just about anything and everything. I have a 13 yr old daughter, 11 yr old son and my baby, my 4 four old son. I was diagnosed 4 years ago, after my son was born with Severe Depression Disorder, Panicc & Anxiety Disorder, and more recently with, Diabetes, PSOS, cervical cancer, and liver problems. I am under medical attention, but I dont know from one day to the next what will happen. I stay in bed most of the time and my 13 year old has to help with just about everything. My 11 yr old is sort of stuck in the middle and my 4 year old has just gotten used to sitting in bed with mommy. I have no energy to do much, other than drive them to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon, they go to school really close to home, so I am only gone for a very short period of time, I couldnt make it otherwise. Their father(s)? My 13 yr old has never met her father, I had her when I was 17 and he can not be located, at least not yet, I am trying, because I dont know what is going to happen to me. But, I tried for the first couple of years of her life and he took off. The boys dad is deceased. He has been gone now for a little over a year from an accident and now they have to see me sick every day. I hate it for them!!! I really do! I was working until January of this year and then I was too sick to be committed to getting up every day and leaving this house. I am a loan officer, or was before I had to try to work from home. Now, I try and do loans, when someone comes along that needs me to try to refinance them, and therefore, I make very very little money. I have gotten food stamps, so at least they do get food. Social Security has been filed, but they are telling me it may take up to 2 years to get approved and get checks monthly for me and the kids. The sheriff showed up at the door and served me with Foreclosure papers on our home last week, and I dont want to lose my house, this is the only stable thing in their lives, I dont want them to have to lose this too. I have insurance so that it will be paid off if I die, but that is all, I dont have any family, other than a brother who lives over a thousand miles away from me, and we are not even close, but he is the only family I have. I belong to a small church and they help me with small things, like birthdays for the kids, and halloween costumes, but I dont know what else to do and I am scared for them. I am starting more agressive treatment next month, and I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in December, if everything else goes well, but I am scared and I am sad for them, they do so much for me and I can not do anything for them right now! I wish I could have seen the future and put away for them more, but all I can do now is PRAY! and ask everyone else to please PRAY FOR MY CHILDREN! They are great! They are exceptional children! Thanks for listening, it is good to be able to talk. Luckily, I receive free internet service and have this old computer, believe it or not, with Windows 95 on it, but hey, it works! It keeps me somewhat connected to the outside world! Thanks again for listening! Have a blessed day!

This will be a very difficult year our family. My husband just started a job driving truck after completing CDL school in tennessee. He had been out of work all year till now. I just took a new job so that I would be in my children's school district and to my surporise the pay is much less then I had hoped. The IRS will not release my tax return unitil I can figure out how to prove that I lived in this house last year when it was still in my mother's name. We have 6 kids and with the closing of ames I am fearful of how I will make a christmas for them this year. I know our future will be brighter in January or February when I anticipate a raise to the level of poay I expected and when my husband is off trainee's pay and when our back bills are all caught up. If anyone knows of any organization in my area that can help my put presants under the tree this year please let me know. Thank you

I have a few ideas in response to your question. Perhaps you might be inclined to share them with those willing to put a little selfless love in the world, and perhaps they will chose to undertake some of the options presented. Either way, good luck and best of wishes with your effort Santa - As always, and as you know - I'll do all I can to help in the effort.

1. Feed some pets! People need food, but so do the critters. Don't forget to give pet food to animal shelters, the food banks, and anyone else in need.

2. Shovel a sidewalk, and run!

3. Send absolutely everyone you know a card! Just to keep them all on their toes, and smiling. If you don't know the home address, send it to them at work, they'll get it.

4. Help someone put up their decorations if they have them, and if they don't - Get them some!

5. Sing - Lots! For that matter, gather some friends and go caroling, no one even does it anymore so you'd be an original!

6. Buy and make up packages consisting of colouring books, crayons, a candy cane, a couple of chocolates, a small stuffy (I collect them from the $2 claw machines all year long), and anything else you're inclined - Make up at least 20 packages and drop them off to your local battered Women's Shelter.

7. Make up a gingerbread house, and give it to a children's program, shelter, or center.

9. Gift donation packages to single mother programs

10. Help someone with a home project such as painting, papering, or even cleaning. These things are always appreciated, anytime of year.

11. Do the laundry! Yeah, ok - so it's not yours ... That's why it's extra nice of you to do it, and why you're suddenly so sweet.

12. But most of all - and more than anything - the greatest thing you can do - ever - is to be a real friend, be supportive, listen, and if you know something is needed and you might be able to provide it - Then provide it, even to a stranger - No one is a stranger. And if you believe they are allow me to put it in these terms; Your small finanacial discomfort will never be worth the discomfort of living with what is now merely your illusion of being a kind, generous and helpful person.

Anyway Santa, perhaps a notion or two will appeal to people. Perhaps they might even undertake one or two. I haven't decided yet what mission I shall undertake this year - But when I do, you know you'll be the first to know. Thanks for asking for my input on this one.

Looking forward to working with you again soon Santa.

I think that it would be wonderful to give computers to families that can't afford them, not so much as new, but used computers that people are replacing to upgrade to these newer models, it would be nice to see these computers being put to use instead of on the side of the trash piles, tossed out because people can buy themselves new ones an there are kids out there that could get good use from them.

=BEWARE===BEWARE===BEWARE===BEWARE===BEWARE===BEWARE==BEWARE The person below is an imposter she has posted a fradulent E-mail stating that she has two children one of which is very sick. Actually those are her sisters children, and she has been using her sisters name. We have sent her over $500 in toys and cash to the children. The police and the FBI are now involved in this crime. Beware that not all messages posted here are truthful and sincere. Do not send this lady any toys or money. I have attached the letter below. ********************** Hi, I am writing you to say that there are many, many people out there much worse off than I am, but I am holding out hope from somewhere. Maybe its faith? Yes, I do own a computer, yes I am paying off a home, a car, and many various bills per month. I do without many things to provide my two little girls needs. My oldest is now six, that is a miracle in itself, she has had two open heart surgeries, and they plan one more. My two year old is very healthy, and very bright. She was a miracle to me too, I didnt think I would have a child without heart disease. I have worked long and hard, and have always treated others as I have wished to be treated. I truly hoped I would have what my little girls biggest wishes were for christmas, but I just cant afford it. I truly did think about letting the electric just "go" for a month, but nope cant do that, I couldnt afford to play catch up. If you can find it in your heart to make there little hearts happy, I would bless you all of my days. If you cannot afford to help me out, that is okay, we know that christmas means much more than a gift. you should give some of your money and food to the poor and you should think of others than yourself.did you know that a bad deed erases a good deed and a good deed erases a bad deed?what you should do on christmas eve is do something for the poor and your friends and other people, what you should do most of all is be happy what you already have instead of taking other peoples toys and do something youv never wanted to do thats very specialand good for other people

I have borrowed money from 3 or 4 credit card companies, and now do not have anyone who will combine them into one to consolidate them, they total about 5,000.00, and I cannot afford to have my creit ruined any further than it already is, I am trying to make it right, but they keep adding on charges every month for being behind, etc. This advice is to tell people NOT to agree to credit cards at high rates, and get into debt at Christmas time, because you have a very hard time getting back out or paying it off. If anyone can help me with my situation, I would greatly appreciate it.

PLEASE SANTA, TIME IS RUNNING OUT . MY 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND 10 YEAR OLD SON ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO SHOW UP WITH PRESENTS LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO. THERE ARE ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT FOR ME TO FIND YOU. I TRIED TO SELL MY CAR LAST WEEK BUT WHEN THE PEOPLE TEST DROVE IT THEY TOOK OFF WITH MY WALLET AND ALL MY ID AND MY COAT. THEY WERE ACTUALLY DRUG DEALERS AND DID NOT COME BACK WITH THE CAR FOR3 DAYS. NOW THE CAR IS ALL SMASHED UP AND THEY LEFT MY WALLET IN A VAN THAT IS NOE IN POLICE IMPOUND AND THE COST TO GET IT OUT IS OVER 700.00 THE COST TO REPAIR MY CAR WOULD BE 5000.00 SINCE THEY Ran it out of oil and left the cap off and something got down onside the engine. i am just sick about this and i am afraid of the drug dealers coming after me if i call the police. i am behind on the rent since the check was in my wallet and i do not have theft protection.my kids need basic items like clothes and my daughter needs a coat real bad. she really wanted a holiday barbie and she thinks she is getting everything she needs like always but if i dont find you then i guess not. we do not have a christmas tree or any cheerful holiday spirit. i believe that you will reply to this letter if you have a heartfor my kids. my boy is with his dad right now, but the dad won't help out my daughter because she accuses him of inappropriate touching and oral molestation, i am sick just telling you all this . furthermore my son expects me to drive 300 miles to get him on christmas and there is just no way. i need some miracles fast. if nothing else i keep telling my self that this is the celebration of the birth of our lord and savior jesus christ and that is the true message of christmas, i will not be tempted to steal for my children even though it feels like the only option. i have faith that miracles are real on christmas and always. god bless and also to others like me let there be peace in the home, let love find a way to heal the anger of povertythroughout the planet.

Our heavenly Father did the greatest act of Love which was to give us His only Son in order to save us from our sins and give us our inheritance which is His Kingdom. This is why we celebrate the birth of our Savior on the eve of the 24th. His example is: IN GIVING WE RECEIVE. This should be the motto of our daily life!

Love and be loved. Christmas spirit should last the whole year through. It should come from your heart; if not then the effort is wasted. "Needy" people like new things too... not just our hand-me-downs. For those of you who know or those of you who no one has told yet, Jesus IS the reason for the season! He's the reason for every season. Merry Christmas.

I cant believe there is people out there who say they are going to send kids presents and dont do it. I am one of the people who has a letter on here about me being a single mom of 4 children... and I have already had 6 people contact me to say they are sending presents.... here it is.... exactly one week before christmas and NOTHING!. I have read other stories like this. Is that all you have to do is sit on a site like this and get peoples hopes up and not send anything. What is this world coming to? I just cant believe the way people are. How cruel and inconsiderate they can be. I pity you all. I will get over it. My kids know the true meaning of christmas and what we have will sufice. Through our belief in God... we will do just fine. Thanks anyways.

I think the various charities that provide Christmas gifts and food for the underprivileged should make 2002 a record year by working (with our help) to meet the needs of children and families who fall between the cracks and don't get help. By this, I mean the children and families who are the working poor, those who have income that is just above the cut-off for assistance but not enough to afford Christmas, much less the basic necessities.

I don't have much and strugle in everyday life, there are so many family that is worst off than mine. I tryed to help out in anyway I can by donateing clothes, food, and the spare change that I may have left. My child every year adopt an angel from the Make a Wish Kids each year.Look in your closet to see if you have old clothes or shoes. Childern look in your toy box to see if you have a toy don't play with. When you are walking down the street smile at the person that is passing by and say "Merry Christmas". Open a door for someone at the store. Thoughs are the little things that we can do. I wish you everyone a Very Merry Christmas and peace on earth to all.

Hi, I am writing you to say that there are many, many people out there much worse off than I am, but I am holding out hope from somewhere. THANK YOU :) caloppalof@aol.com

Season's Greetings to everyone througout the world. I am a single mother of 2 wonderful children, a boy, Troy, aged 13 and a girl, Leah, aged 10 1/2. I have been a working mother for many years until Oct.2000 when the company I worked for was bought out and my job phased out. I have worked in total approximately 3 months during 2001, mostly temporary positions and one full time position from which I was laid off shortly after Sept 11th as the company did most of their business in the USA. I have been on unemployment insurance since January 2001 (which only pays 55% of my last salary) and things have been very difficult for us. My unemployment insurance runs out in January 2002. I have worked hard all my life and managed to purchase a townhouse and a car within the last 3 years. My parents, both in their late 70's, have helped me all year, but they are retired and on a fixed pension, and I feel very badly because I have tapped them out of all their extra resources as they willingly helped me manage with mortgage payments and bills for the year. I have always been able to provide well for my children and been able to give them many things they want and need, but things have become desperate now. The job market here in Toronto is practically nil, and the salary rates are dropping drastically. I signed up with numerous temporary employment agencies and call each day, but there is no work to be had. Come January 2002 we may lose our home, car and everything we own. My children are feeling the strain of all this as well. I have frequently explained to them that we can't afford to buy the things they are used to having, like certain foods or other things they want or need, and won't be able to have a Christmas this year because we simply can't afford it, they say they understand but the looks on their faces just breaks my heart. They are wonderful kids who never fight with each other and help other people, especially the elderly. They even have put out paper fliers to do odd jobs and babysit people's pets while they are away on holidays and have offered to give any money they make (which so far has been none)to me to help us keep our house and pay our bills. I've never asked for charity before but I pray to God and His servants to help us in our time of need to have a small, enjoyable Christmas this year. I know that Troy & Leah would be overjoyed to receive one or two small gifts each, to have a Christmas dinner and a tree. I know, too, that they would be extremely happy to receive letters, cards and emails from people wishing them a Merry Christmas! My hopes and prayers are that good Christian folks would be willing to help my children in this way to make Christmas 2001 as Merry as possible for them. I also personally wish that everyone, everywhere has a wonderful Christmas! "God bless us, Everyone" P.S. You can email Troy, Leah or myself, Mary, at the email address below. All the best for a wonderful holiday season to you all! "If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft, and from thy slender store, two loaves alone to thee are left, sell one, and with the dole, buy Hyacinths to feed thy sole." (anonymous author)

I have read many of the mission ideas... I too am a mother of 3 children... ages 9,8 &5. I can not work due to major medical problems. I have tried getting disability and to no avail havent been able to. My husband is the only one working. He works hard. We have a roof over our heads and live paycheck to paycheck. It is hard. So I understand 100% where these other people come from. I have a total of 2 presents each under the tree for my children. I would love to give them more. But like other mothers and families out there.... unable to. My children are great kids. They do deserve at least one rememberable Christmas. I am using my friends computer... if anyone leaves me a message please state in the subject line that it is for Terri. Thank you. I do not like to ask for help. We have made it so far. I would just like to let those way more fortunate than others, that children do not undertand hard times. Especially when it comes to not enough money for things. It is always extra sad when they go back to school and their friends say all the goodies they got and ask what you got and you only say some shoes, coat and a doll or truck. Then they get teased. It is not fair. The world isnt fair. We didnt become this way until after the birth of my 3rd child. I was diagnosed as manic depression, have heart spasms, brain tumors, insulin resistant, polycystic ovaries and degenerating discs in my back. I am not telling people this for pity or to make you feel sad for me. I just feel like if I am on here writing this you should know the details. I have had a tubal ligation as soon as we decided we could not afford any more children. I do not beleive in keep having kids you cant take care of. And like I said. We do live paycheck to paycheck.... and make ends meet. Just at Christmas time we only have about 50 dollars to spread between 2 girls and 1 boy. I pray out there that there are families who can help will help. I am a member of a church and they help with groceries when needed. And I thank God each and every day for that. Without God in our lives we would really be struggling. He helps us each and every day. We dont ask God to send someone to help. I feel if he would like for someone to help us in this time of need then he will give them the go ahead. This would mean so much to my children. Either way ,with or without outside help, we will make it through. I pray each and every person out there has a wonderful and joyful Christmas. If you are a loving person and would like to help my family, please email me at my friends address and she will let me know. I know there are probably many people on here that might not even need the help... I hope you believe me when I say we need help. Please listen to your heart and do what God would want you to do. Bless You.

I am a single mother with a seven month old son. A couple of months ago I got a job, but the money I make is not nearly enough to provide for our daily basic neccessities. So having a Merry Christmas seems a bit out of reach to me. Through it all I remain strong in my Christian faith, and I know that the Lord will make a way, even if I feel there is no way. Though my situation is looking kind of down, I can't aford to buy my child the gifts I would like for him, and I'm struggling day by day, I'm too blessed to be stressed and Jesus will, and always does, carry us through. My son's name is Immanuel because it means "God is with us" and I know the meaning of his name will shine through for us. If you are reading this and feel that God sent you to help my son and I, please find it in your heart to spread love and kindness and the Lord will reward you openly. God bless you.

I'm a 26 year old single mother, I am also a Registered Nurse. Coming home from work on the evening of February 9th, a Drunk driver pulled out in front of me on a very narrow winding road. I barely survived the accident, saved only by the grace of god and the airbag. I struck the the vehicle going 55 mph head on in a camry. He didn't have insurance, I did, but they only paid off my car because it was leased. I received approximately 1500 dollars after they paid the lease off. In KY the PIP (personal injury protection) is set at 10,000 dollars. I used that up immediately. The maximum I could receive for missed work was 200 dollars a week. My heating bill was averaging 350 dollars a month due to the sudden increase in natural gas prices here. With my other utility bills and variety of other bills, the 200 a week did not cover all. 3 months after the accident I was not recovered enough to return to work, therefore I was terminated. I Drove to Sabillasville, MD to work a summer camp for people with disabilities as the camp nurse. I received a good sized amount for that job, but it only helped me catch up on bills, not get ahead. Since mid august I have been searching for work. I have applied at literally dozens of places for RN work within a 100 mile radius of where I live. But no luck as of yet. People are scared of hiring a nurse with a badly damaged knee and back problems (Both resulting from the wreck). I underwent surgery and extensive physical therapy for my knee and did see a chiropracter numerous times for my back. I still have problems and probably cannot even pass a physical if a job requires it, but I will do anything for work. So I continue to try. I did file for unemployment and received it, but my former employer contested it. It has been suspended until my appeal is decided which I hope will be very soon. I have been feeding and clothing myself and my 14 month old daughter on less than 800 dollars a month. Fortunately I live in my parents house (mother is deceased and father is an invalid that lives with one of my brothers due to the fact he is unable to care for himself.) The house is very old with poor insulation, but it's a roof over our heads for which I'm very grateful. I don't have a car, I borrow my brothers. I do have a computer and I cannot sell it becaue I am still making payments on it. I do have online access but fortunately it's free. But I am afraid I will lose my phone shortly because I have no income. I can live with that, I don't need a phone, I need to make sure my daughter has food and clothes on her back. Her father is somewhere in California, he has never paid child support and does not want to know her. I have been fighting for child support but to no avail yet. So to sum this up, I bought my daughter 3 toys for christmas, thinking I would still have my unemployment but I lost it. I don't have any money, no job, no car. Lucky to have a roof over our heads. My water has been turned off, but I got help from dad to get it back on, my gas was turned off and again, my brother helped get it back on. I just want my little girl to have warm clothes for winter. She's growing so fast and by the time mid january rolls around, she'll outgrow all her clothes. I don't care about toys for her, I got her 3. I need clothes for her. Size 18 to 24 months if anyone can help and I Have clothes sizes 6 to 12 months (girls of course)if anyone needs them. Even to get socks for her would be great, her little feet have grown 2 sizes in the past month or so and all her socks barely stay on her feet. Thank you

Hello Santa Claus, I’am so bless to be able to write you this year, I am so glad that I can do this. My name is Nariah. I am 9 years old and I’m in the 5th grade my hobbies are dancing, sports, girl scouts, piano, writing, singing, playing, and decorating. I love going to church. I would really like to model and Act, but my dream is to become President of the USA . I’m told that I write well and read well so I will put my gift to work and help America. Please excuse any of my typo, as I’m working hard on making no mistakes when I type, so that I could be understood. I hope you get my point but I’m sure you will. I’m so sorry I could not put my letter in the mail for you because of the antrax scare. So I’m going to email you this year, but I don’t know where to find you. I really don’t know if anyone cares to help me find you. But I pray that someone will care and deliver my letter to you because it is very important that I tell you that my mom got seriously ill this year. She got so sick that we almost did not recognize her. She was rushed to the hospital several times. I prayed for her to get better. God will answer my prayer and let my mom stay with me longer, my mom is a computer programmer and she is very inportant to my life and so is Jesus! He has been a big part of my life. Please say hello to him when you have time becuase I heard that you have known him for a long time! Please thank him too for letting some of my family stay alive after the September 11 attacks. And I pray for the families that lost their loves on September 11th I love them. well Santa Claus Since my mom is sick she said she will not be able to buy us anything for Christmas because she has to pay for medical bills wish cost her a lot of dollars and she can’t even afford to pay the rent. I pray that she will be able to pay the bills or else we are going to be homeless. My moms truck was taken away because she could not afford it because she was sick after the September 11 attacks. So now we don’t even have a car. We barely have food to eat. Santa please please help my mom pay the bills. This will be a very sad Christmas for me, because my mom has always provided for us and never asked anyone for anything. Santa Claus Even if you don’t get me my gifts but please help my mom so that we don’t be homeless living in the streets. Here is what I wish for my mom 1. help pay her medical bills. That would make her really happy 2. help her pay the rent that would make us all very happy 3. help her get a new car so that she can take us places. 4. help her get food . we need food to eat 5. help her get pots for her to cook 6. help her get clothes, she really needs clothes 7. a big screen tv. Not important but nice Thank you alot! You are also special to me. You are practically important to everyone. You are so nice to everybody and so friendly. There are a million ways to describe you! I am so sorry that I can't list them all!! Say "hi" to Mrs. Claus and your elves! If you didn't have them you wouldn't have a family and that would not be good because I want everyone to go home to a warm and cozy home. Mrs. Claus is special to you and I don't want you to forget that because she really is special and so are your elves. I hope you have a safe trip on 24th delivering presents. Thank your elves too for a hard season you went through. They did a good job, and so did you. I believe in you! You can do it, I know you can you did it last year! I wish you can live with us becuase your so nice. I will leave you cookies and milk for you and your wife, and a carrot for your reindeer. Since your elves did hard work they deserve a treat! How about some cookies. I will bake a extra for your elves. I love you all very much. Love, Nariah (1 one fan, I love you)

Im a mother of 3 girls who have handicaps,i also have legal guardianship of my 2 yr old grandson.my daughter, the babys mom has had 15 operations for a tumor in her left cheek.it can never be completely removed.its called Neurofibromatosis.she has been raped twice in past 4 yrs.my other 2 daughters are mentally and learning impaired.they also have this disorder, but affects them different, the baby has it also.he has white spots on the brain and a tumor on the bottom of his foot, he is labeled POHI.my husband had to leave his job when emphysema became too bad. i run a year round garage sale, but its been slow.babys mom spent Thanksgiving in a crisis center.i was sued by paternal grandparent for unsupervised vists of baby out of my home.due to circumstances of babys father, i didnt think it was wise to send him .but paternal gf won and courts make me.now we are in debt up to our neck in atty fees.Christmas isnt looking good this year,im not worried about my husband or me, just the others.if anyone knows of any help, please let me know, there is more horror to this situation if you need it.

I lived a average life. Single mother of two. Had a 2 bedroom condo, a job, nice funiture, and a car. I thought that we were doing pretty good, until my 5 year old girl told my mother that the neighbor was raping her. That day he was arressted and has not been able to get out on bail, because they said he was a danager to society. He put a hit on us while he was in jail. So since then we had to leave are condo with all of are belongings in it. Included are clothes. After that I had to quit my job, my car blew up shortly after that happen. So we have been on the run since that horrible day! We just went to court on Nov 21,2001 and he got 10 years to life. So what I am asking you if you can find it in your heart to help us for christmas with anything we would really truely appriecated. I do not own a computor. I went to the library to do this. Hope you have a merry christmas.

My Mission is to try and open the hearts of the people that collect money for charities and then take it for themselves like the Red Cross and people like that. They collect millions of dollars and then tell everyone that it cost millions of dollars to run their charity, I think that is so wrong of them there has to be a way to regulate where the money goes so that it get s to the people that need it truly need it and now waste it on ADMINISTRATION costs. You know what I mean. Thank you for your time!

how come everyone picks on the poor people, just because they have a computor and the internet, doesnt mean they have money.there is free internets.maybe someone in the family got them a computor or they got bad credit to kid there kids stuff.i find some computors on the garbage that work, they are from rich homes, there is alot of rich people that throw away good stuff, because they have the money.alot of my stuff came from rich homes.i do it so my kids have things.my kids come first,me and my husband do with out.when you have kids there your world, you will lower your self for them, they didnt ask to be here,i see rich people where i live on the garbage, more rich then poor.god said dont judge people.he will.think how god feels when people judge other people.i know what its like to be poor,i came from a poor home,i still am poor.because my husband and kids come first.

Hi, I'm a 31 yr old single mother who was in a car accident and have a permanent dislocated disc. It's hard for me to sit or stand for long periods of time. I've been trying to find work that I can do from home but it is very hard especially since the World Trade Center Disaster, and god bless those who have lost and was injured. I have a six year old little girl whom I haven't been able to buy any clothes for or provide for since my accident and it hurts me to see her suffer because of my situation. I can't buy her anything this Christmas because of me not being able to find any work at home jobs that don't require you sending them money. Santa Please Help Me! My daughter say's she is just happy to have me alive, but I would really be happy if she could at least open up one gift on Christmas day.

I love the ideas that are coming from these kids from all over the world, especially after OUR Sept. 11 tradgedy. I can relate to all the struggling moms, and such people, for Christmas has been more of a family gathering in the last 8 years. I am a single mom, who's daughter, Zemme has struggled that her father can't bear to face her and just let her know he loves her. I tell her he does every day, and then Christmas comes, and for some reason every year winter is the time to pay off long overdue bills, and I am usually out of work. I am now trained in a profession but work is hard to find for the first two years. So out of experience, I relate to other people who have free access in coffee shops, friends houses, etc. to internet: Churches always have programs where people help people for Christmas dinner, and presents for the kids. For Christmas my daughter and I clean out our belongings and detach from our closely held posessions,(yes even poor people get sick of having furniture that is falling apart) and give them to whomever may need them more. people who aren't used to living the way we do. For them it's much harder because they have never had to learn what it's like to live so differently. My daughter had this great idea last year that she would send her unused toys, balls and even special stuffed animals she got from Value Village to kids in Sri Lanka that have only had ONE toy their whole lives. Go through that old attic or box of special things, THROW OUT THE THINGS THAT ARE USELESS, and give away those things that can be special to someone. And PLEASE remember not to give really worn out clothes, with holes or mildew they cannot be used. And most people who don't have new ones probably won't have sewing utencils either. Thanks. Make your kids feel proud of themselves for giving instead of feeling sorry for themselves for not getting. Alana

I would like to reply to a post I read on here. I know that it might be hard to grasp that someone could be poor and have access to the internet and a computer. However, there are many free email programs out there, free web hosting sites out there, a lot of loving people and places you can go to use the internet. I am one of these "poor people" - raising two teenage children and myself on $546 a month (not an easy task). I am disabled with health problems - however, I am not just sitting on my butt doing nothing...I applied for financial aid and have returned to college and am hoping to earn a CSA degree (which will enable me to work from home, becoming a contributing member of society, with a computer and internet access!) Please do not judge people harshly and think unkind thoughts, because maybe...just maybe...there are those of use who have had a computer donated to them, have access at a public library, at school, work or a friend or family members house. Do you know what means more to my children than "receiving gifts"? It's receiving a little note or a card, something saying they are being thought of and loved! The biggest gift they could ever receive is having their mother back healthy and normal - I don't feel that is a selfish thing, but it also one of the things that I, you, or anyone are unable to give them. Sorry...I will get off my soap box now...I just couldn't let that hurtful comment pass without a comment. It's people like you, that make assumptions, that some of us won't even ask for help and some very deserving children do go without much of a Christmas. Do you know what my children and I like to do for Christmas? Make hand-made ornaments and/or bake cookies for other people - it may not be much but it's the thought that counts.

Call me skeptical but if you all are so bad off, then why do you have a computer and internet? That's quite an expense for a "poor" person. No I'm not saying this to be mean and I do help the poor but I find it hard to feel sorry for someone that can afford the internet.

I have read through many of the entries in here. I can relate oh so well to the parents who are unable to provide a tree and gifts for thier children over the holiday season. This is a perfect time to teach our kids that Christmas is not about getting presents at all, but about giving whatever we can to make someone else smile. I know it is hard and as parents we feel like failures when we are unable to get them the bike they have been asking for or the baby doll they saw on TV. This was my heartbreak last year. I hate to admit that it is the case again this year as well. Be strong, and be happy that you are all together to celebrate the holidays, with or without gifts.

My mission is to someday have a game farm park where I take in all animals whether they have been abused at puppy mills, or just need a temporary home, No matter what kind of animals I want to care for them all. I wish I could get a place like this up and running in my home town. I could even petition or put ads in the paper for volunteer helpers to help care for the animals and look after them, maybe they could make the people that have commited crimes and are in jail to serve community work for the city by working at a game farm place and learning to care and love animals. It would probably make a big difference in the world. I would like to find out how this could be possible. I am 13 years old not able to work at a job legally until I am 16 years of age and it is my dream to get this sort of thing up and running as soon as possible. If anyone has any information or ideas on how to get some funding to get this going for me I would be greatly thankfull. So please lets help all the animals and make the world a better place even if I can't help every animal I can at least start by making a difference. I am too young to go to a bank and get a loan. Is anyone out there that can help me fund a shelter for abused animals? Email me : froggy123187@aol.com

janesville, WI usa - Sunday, December 17, 2000 at 09:26:08 (EST)
I hope all of you have a VERY MERRY Christmas. And yes, this is the real MJ. One of the things everyone must understand is that giving of gifts is not what christmas is all about... I know when I grew up, when my dad was alive, he used to read to all of us kids. We didn't have the money to eat fancy turkeys or ham, much less buy us nice clothing, or toys. All we had to get from our parents was love from them and love from our siblings. We all hated it, and I know I hated when the season came around, knowing we weren't going to get anything, but you know it was OK. Juanita and myself have been through times like that. I never always had money, and I don't want my children to grow up getting everything they want, because one day when I pass on, the money won't be there for them, and they will have to learn to suffer the hard way. I want them to learn from ME how it is NOT to have money. Kids, Be lucky you have a mother and a father who is willing to spend the time with you and love you and be with you during these christmas holidays, I know MANY MANY friends of mine growing up where their mothers and fathers were out drinking and partying, not paying any attention to them. It was horrible to see, but it happends. Just remember folks, if you think you are having it bad this year, there is someone out there who is having it much more worst! Take care friends out there, GO WIZARDS! :)

Hi, This is Anita again. I would like to thank everyone who wrote to me. It made me feel very warm inside...*SMILE*. I thought of a neat idea. Find a tiny bit of cash, buy a helium balloon..... take it outside with your kids , on Christmas eve and have them make a wish , that their NEW YEAR will get better. And let it go.I did this when my father passed on. My kids wrote him a note and wrapped it around the string and let it go. It just needs to be the better helium stuff...because the cold can make it harder for the balloon to fly.I tried it the other day when I got a get well balloon from someone.....it really works... Take care everyone. I really hope you all find some way to make this Christmas fun and loving. I keep up the reading here and I pray for everyone. LOVE, Anita

I am the mother of six wonderful kids ages 10, 7, 6, 6, 5, 3 we won't be having a christmas this year, but wanted people to know what our family would be doing for christmas this year. We will be singing christmas songs in our area to try to bring smiles to other peoples families. I would love to be able to buy them things for christmas but since I can't I want them to know how loved they are, and spend every min. I can with them this hoilday season & the whole year round. I know that is hard on kids not having a christmas but I know they will come thur just fine. Christmas is all about love and they will get lots of that plus more. We just wanted to wish every one a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!!!!!!

I have been desperate for ideas for gifts for my children since we do not have the means this year to provide a traditional Christmas. They are asking for nothing, really, but I want them to know how special they each are and that they are the light of our lives and that their possibilities in life are endless - regardless of difficult times. Do you think you could help me to start a Random Act Of Kindness - wherein people perform a RAOK and take a minute of their day to send a card telling the boys Merry Christmas?? Their names are Matthew (13), Christian(11), Brett (9) and Ryan (8) (or just put "the boys"). You can mail them to me at my work - Lisa L. Poirier c/o Banker's Title & Abstract LLC 5795 Widewaters Parkway Syracuse, NY 13214 I will collect all the cards and give them to the kids on Christmas morning and hopefully their hearts will be full, even if their stockings are not! Doesn't this sound great?? I would appreciate any help - even if you could cut and paste this into an e-mail and forward it around to your friends. My children will enjoy seeing where the cards come from and the fact that there are good people (a/k/a ANGELS) who care enough to make a young ones day. Thank you for helping, and God Bless.

I am a mother of 3. I have been with my husband for a long time.We have always been the ppl' who were able to help others at X-Mas.We have always had someone in need living with us. But now I find that we are needy. What a reality check. Now I know what it feels like to have no tree, no food, no toys to give to my kids. I love to make mounds of cookies and give them out like crazy. That won't be happening this year. Now I understand the pain of a husband who has to look at himself in the mirror and know he can't provide for his family. Now I know what it's like to have no way of working and having to take care of my own elderly parent. To see my kids write a list to santa is one of the HARDEST things I've had to do. BUT, what I want to ask is one simple thing. Just say I prayer for my family that we make it through this season. That we keep our house and I get my medication. We are very bad off...but not enough to ask for gifts. Leave the gifts to thoughs who are ALONE and sick. Homeless ppl' and the folks out there that have no hope left. I don't have a lot of hope left...but enough to tell others that there is a way to find hope again. And when I find it , I will give everybody my recipe for hope. Take care, Anita

I writing for someone who has a heart for me and my two boys. Our christmas wish is not like other wishes our wish is to share christmas in a house of our own. About a year and half ago some broke into our home stealing everything from my children clothes to the food out of our cabinets. Our life hasn't been the same. We have been staying in my sister home every since that day and as hard as I work I still can't get things back together like it was. My children miss the fact of having there own room and time to enjoy to themselves. I've been trying hard to get the things I had back by working more and more hours at work but things haven't gotten better it seems to get worser because my children are getting to big to be sleeping with there mother every night. I hope and pray that something comes along for me and my two sons.

Each year our church family coordinates an event around Christmas called "Warm Hearts...Warming Hands". Throughout the year our members knit hats, sweaters, gloves, mittens, scarves etc, They are brought to an outdoor singalong concert held in the cold December New England night and collected where they will be distributed to various homeless shelters and social organizations. Attendees sing christmas Carols, and reflect and pray for our homeless brethren. It is a joyous way to start the Christmas season by developing an awareness for the less fortunate and giving back to the community.

I just got done talking to my girlfriend on the phone. She talked to her mom about this Christmas, and that they don't have much money to spend on it. Her step-dad was just forced to leave his job because he's got a form of muscular dystrophy called CMT. After they paid all the bills that needed to be paid, there wasn't enough money to buy new clothing or other necessities. She has had many ear surgeries, because she was born deaf. I'm sure that she will probably be upset with me if she finds out I'm doing this, but I don't know what else to do to help. Her biological father died during this year, so the money has been more tight than normal. She's only 17, so getting two or three jobs isn't really an option with school. If there's anyway you can help, or anything you think I can do to help, please let me know. Thank you.

Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus. It has become so commercialized that we often lose sight of it's true meaning. When we teach our children the true meaning of Christmas, that's the best gift that best gift we can give them. I know that we want to give our children the best Christmas possible. I was also that way, but what happens when we don't have the money to buy the gifts? What happens when we are faced with paying the essential bills or buying food. The feeling of failure tends to set in. The stress of everyday life is enough to deal with. I don't have the money to provide a materialized Christmas as we know it. I do have the faith to provide them with a spiritual Christmas that they will always remember. Trust in the Lord and He will provide for you and your family. BLESSINGS TO ALL!!!

I am trying to help a very needy family I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. This is a family with two girls ages 4 and 9. They have helped other families in our area for years now. They have recently gone through a lot of finical setbacks. One of the biggest was founding out that the youngest has a moderate hearing loss. She now needs hearing aid and their insurants will not cover them. They are now the ones in need. They are worried they will not be able to give their children anything for Christmas, losing their home and getting their daughter's the hearing aids. If you have any suggestions for me to give them or are in a position to help them, PLEASE e-mail me at Jamiyg@aol.com

First off Merry Christmas to all; hope you all have a beautiful one with friends and family... I am writing to help out a few great families I have been so lucky to meet. They have very little to give to their children but are such great people. I know they don't want to ask for anything, so I chose to write. I would like to help give them the best christmas ever. One family in particular currently lives about 15 miles from me. I invited them to have christmas with my fiance and I. Since we don't have a lot of money to get gifts for the five of them, we're writing for a little help. If you are at all interested, I'd really appreciate it. There are so many people, like this family that are wonderful people that are just in difficult times, and have a hard time making ends meet at that time of year. Thanks again for listening to my thoughts and prayers for these families. >>Kerry..... (P.S. you are welcome to e-mail me)

For the twelve days of X-mas, like the song.. Pick a house in your neighborhood that you do not know the person or rarley talk to and then, 12 days before x-mas, do the fisrt day of the song. Like, pn the first day of x-mas my true lover gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. So, write the quote, get a bird and make a little tree from branches, have fun. It doesn't have to be purfect. Put it in a luch bag and put it by their door. On the second day of x-mas, two turttle doves, then, give them two little white birds. And put the song line in a bag. And, and all through out the song. At the end you can say Merry X-mas. On the last day and say who it's from if you want. You can ver y creative about this. Even about the 12 amids a miling, have a picture, of 12 maids and in a little jar put some mild in it. With pictures of cows. Have fun. Just like 5 golden rings, color them, or go to a craft store and buy, little curtain holders and do that. Have fun and be craetive.!!!! Nathalie. age: 14. 2000'

We used to take two angels off the mall angel tree, until last year when we didn't have the money. So we decided to have a small angel tree here in our town. As a family, we made the tags and cards, decorated the tree and put it in our library. We made sure that every package was wrapped nice, and found out that so many people that are around us are very giving. The local store gave "cost" to the purchacers and donated paper, bows and tape to our cause. A group of local people donated their saved money and took about 20 angels off the tree. One little girl saved up all year and bought a doll for another little girl, and a local woodworker made a cradle for it, and her grandmother and her made a blanket to put with it. We don't live in a big town, and we don't live in a wealthy town, but we sure do live in a rich town!! Everyone can always do something for someone else, no matter what.

We donated alot of my clothes and new toys to an orphanage here in Korea, and we had dinner with all the kids and they all got one present each. We will do it again next year. It made me sad that they did not have a mom or a dad, it felt good to give them the stuff.

I believe it would be a great idea for everyone to give at least one thing they receive for christmas to the needy or homeless or if you have received nothing give your time by volunteering at you local mission or red cross center. Also for the children whom are to young to understand that the true meaning of christmas is giving the parents should start by telling their children how Christ gave his only son for us on Christmas and hopefully it will enstill to them the meaning of christmas... My parents let me take 2 angels off the angel tree at the mall every year and I get to share with those needed kids and give back to someone whom may not have anything to give

I give out candy to a couple of my classes on the holidayz....I love giving gifts. But it upsets me when people don't deserve it and I can't give it to them. Especially if I had already bought it for them and then they go and blow me off ! ! ! I'm in highskool and have 8 classes so I can only give candy to 1 or 2 of my classes ! ! ! I love giving gifts and this Xmas I'm giving gifts to the people who were nice to me and/or my friends!!! My advice to everyone is to never ever make fun of someone or be mean to someone or dislike someone if you dont know them. Becuz I know how it feels. And I have alwayz been a kindhearted person and never makes fun of people I dont know personally. when I came to this new highskool a lot of people hated me just for the way i look and still do. Well hopefully you will reed this and take my advice. :-)

My Christmas Mission is to support others by finding toys I don’t play with anymore and donating them to poor families. I can give away some of my clothes and donate money to the homeless. My family could donate food to families that are having a hard time and give them hope by showing them that they have a friend at a school who cares about them and believes in them. I could work with Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a family in need. Then I could give them a pet so they would have someone to play with and won’t be lonely.

Instead of trying to find a present to give to the teacher (me), this year each student is bringing $2.00 or more to contibute to the Heifer Project. For each $20 sent to them, a flock of chicks will be given to a needy family in some country. That family promises to give some of the offspring to another family. We think this will help bring "joy to the world". WWW.heifer.org

Is to let people like myself that never experienced Christmas because they were being abused to just put your arms around them and tell them they are "Special" and that someone, somewhere cares. Just to show someone love is what Christmas is all about it is not what you receive, but what you give from the "Heart". Thank you for this page.

I think that a simple kindess chain will make people feel much better at Christmas. A kindness chain is easy and you don't have to go all out. What it is, is someone starts by doing something extra nice for some one (a brother sister, neighbor) and then they say "I have done something nice for you pass the good deed down and do something nice fore someone else". So your kindess chain will branch out maybe even to people in other countries!

You spell Christmas and at the beginning you see "Christ" and that helps you remember Jesus's birth, and remember the real meaning of Christmas!
